The Heathwood Hall Highlanders competed again against Lexington HS at Chapins Home Meet #3 this afternoon at Crooked Creek in Chapin.
After finishing behind Lexington this past Saturday at Lexington’s Run Hard Invitational hosted at Heathwood Hall, by 25 pts in an 8 team field, the Highlanders narrowed the margin during today’s race to 13 points.
The Highlanders placed three runners in the top 10 (Neb Sneath 6th, Hugh Willcox 7th, and Christian Pearson 8th). Pearson improved by more than 40 seconds. Senior Joe French finished fourth for the team, followed by Robert Golden.

Heathwood Hall’s high school is comprised of 260 high school students. “The boys have worked extremely hard to build up our cross country program and have now been ranked in the top 10 ranked high school programs the past two years among 5A and 4A public schools. I am extremely proud of their dedication and drive to elevate Heathwood Halls Boys Cross Country program to new levels, said Coach Cindy Scannella

The Highlanders will compete for next Wednesday’s Region meet and again at State Meet held at Heathwood Hall on Oct. 31st.
