The girls track & field team finished in 1st place at their second home track meet on Wednesday, March 27th. The team benefitted from top three performances in 15 out of 17 events. First place finishes were earned by Jais Ward (400 and 800 meter runs), Morgan Goodwin (200 meter dash), Laela Caplinger (1 mile run), and Lexi Singletary (pole vault). Moreover, the team benefitted from first place finishes in the 4 x 800 meter relay (Cameron Truesdale, Taylor Washington, Catherine Barron, Laela Caplinger,) and the 4 x 400 meter relay (Janie Hicks, Taylor Washington, Brooklyn Moore, Jais Ward). The 4 x 100 meter relay (Morgan Goodwin, Brooklyn Moore, Jazzy Frierson, Mia Singerling) also turned in a strong performance with a 2nd place finish.

meter run), Ellie Singerling (400 Hurdles), Pamela Ann Pope (pole vault), Morgan Goodwin
(Long Jump), Faith Robertson (Triple Jump), Lexi Colwell (Shot Put), and Hanna Jacobson
(Shot Put) all turned in outstanding performances and finished in second or third place.
The team’s balanced finishes in multiple events made a huge difference in holding off a strong Ben Lippen track team.
1. Heathwood Hall – 142.5 pts.
2. Ben Lippen – 107.5 pts.
3. Hammond– 63 pts.
4. Augusta Christian – 22 pts.
