The Highlander bowling teams participated in the SCISA State Championship matches at Sumter’s Gamecock Lanes on Monday, February 3rd. At this years SCISA state championship the format was a two round play-off format. All 11 of the school teams played it the first round then the top 4 teams moved in to the championship round.
Our girls’ teams finished 3rd place in the first round. Then put together their best 3 games of the year with a 454 total to win the State Championship. They finished 112 pins ahead of the 2nd place team OP. Their total tied with our Girls 2018 team for the highest in state history. The girl’s team was made up of Anna Davis, Riana Shelley, Madeline Ashcraft, Audrey Osborne and Grayson Miller..
Our boys’ teams finished 4th place in the first round. In the 2nd round the finished in 2nd place with a 491 total only 12 pins back of LMA. Congratulations to the boys’ team. The boys’ team was made up McLain King, James Lucas, Baron Stanton, Van Clarke and DuBose Tuller.
