Senior Brandon McCullough wrapped up his Highlander football season this fall with a touchdown in the SCISA North-South game, concluding a career that included three All-State nods, and the single-game rushing record in 2015. Tuesday night, he made a commitment to continue his career collegiately, pledging to the defending and 13-time NCAA DIII National Champion University of Mount Union!
McCullough has lettered in football, soccer, track, and lacrosse over his Heathwood career and electrified crowds each fall with his play on the gridiron. He will join the Mount Union program in the fall, as the Raiders are coming off of a 15-0 season and victory over Mary Hardin-Baylor in the National Championship game.
“I want to thank my parents, family, coaches, and teammates for all of their support and encouragement… I am excited to announce my decision to commit to further my academic and athletic career at the University of Mount Union. I feel truly blessed to have this opportunity,” offered McCullough on his decision.
McCullough selected Mount Union over offers from Ohio Northern, Muskingum, and North Greenville, among others. He will be joined by his family, friends, and the Heathwood community in a ceremony on March 23rd, at 12:45PM in the HHES Dining Commons.
